About the museum

From September 1st the museum is open Monday - Friday 10 am  - 3 pm, Sunday 12 - 3 pm. Saturday closed.

At the museum you can visit Mølstertunet - a beautiful farmyard with 16 listed buildings. The oldest is from the 16th century. All stands as it did when the last inhabitans moved out in 1927.  

We can offer:

Guided tours, for groups more than 15 pers please book in advance.

Adventures Mølster every day for children: With stilts, traditional games, old fashioned clothing etc. We also have hens and sheep.

Guided tours on special themes such as beer brewing, baking traditions and building history.  

NB: Due to work on the main building the exhibiton halls here are closed this autumn (2018).

From June 1. to August 31 we are open daily from 10 am - 5 pm.

There is also a museum shop and a cafè with a splendid view of Voss.

It is possible to reach the museum by foot or by car. The museum is also owner of the authentic farmstead at Nesheim and Opheim. In all  40 antiquarian buildings. The Dagestad museum har exhibitions of woodcarving by the well known wood carver Magnus Dagestad.
